Meet the veterinarians at Plaza 
Veterinary Hospital

Dr. Carron and his dogs David F. Carron, DVM (MSU-1977, BS-1974) Dr. Carron is the owner of the Plaza Veterinary Hospital. He began working at the hospital in 1979, developed a partnership with Dr. Richardson, and became full owner in 1998.

Dr. Carron is a Past-President of the Michigan Veterinary Medical Association. He has also been very active in and is a Past-President of the Southeastern Michigan Veterinary Medical Association.

He is a member of the Detroit Zoo Hospital Committee, which raises funds to benefit the veterinary hospital at the Detroit Zoo. One fund raising effort they sponsor is an annual Run/Walk at the Detroit Zoo in September.

Dr. Carron is also a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the American Animal Hospital Association. He has belonged to community service clubs and has served on the City of Farmington's Warner Mansion Committee. He has received several service awards.

Other activities include being a long standing member of the Veterinary Hospital Manager's Association, and participation by invitation in the annual "Well-Managed Practice" study performed by a nationally recognized veterinary accounting firm

He resides in Farmington with his wife, son, and assorted pets. These pets include dogs, cats, fish, and a bird. His daughter graduated from the College of Veterinary Medicine at MSU in 2006!


Dr. Ast

Christian M. Ast, DVM (MSU 2002)
Dr. Ast joined our staff in 2002 as an associate veterinarian. He is a member of the American Animal Hospital Asssociation, Michigan Veterinary Medical Association and the American Veterinary Medical Association.

Dr.Ast was President of the 2002 graduating class of veterinarians at Michigan State University.

Dr. Ast is Immediate Past-President of the Southeastern Michigan Veterinary Medical Association and is also involved with the MVMA.

During his spare time, you may find Dr. Ast wandering the aisles of Home Depot, as he enjoys working on home improvement projects. He is married with one son.


Dr. Adams and Izzo

Tracy L. Adams, DVM (MSU 2004)
Dr. Adams began her career in the veterinary field working as a technician, then went on to attain her degree as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at MSU.

She joined our staff in 2004 as an associate veterinarian.

Dr. Adams is a member of the American Animal Hospital Association, Michigan Veterinary Medical Association, the American Veterinary Medical Association, the American Association of Feline Practitioners.


She is actively involved with the Southeastern Michigan Veterinary Medical Association. Dr. Adams is their current Vice-President, as well as the newsletter editor.

Dr. Adams is married with two sons and two kitties at home.
